St. Croix was discovered during Christopher Columbus’ search for East
India. Since then St. Croix has been under the rule of seven nations. This has
created a mixture of culture that is ‘just right’. The GotoStCroix web site (produced entirely by residents of St. Croix) is an example of how
the people of St. Croix work well together. It is a great resource for planning
a vacation to St. Croix.
The adventurous visitor can scuba-dive, hike, snorkel, and kayak. History
buffs will enjoy the 17th and 18th century architecture and estates. Sailing
to the National Park of Buck Island is a must for every visitor. Golfers will
be happy to know that St. Croix has three golf courses one of which is the
Robert Trent Jones, Senior designed golf course of Carambola.
St. Croix is home to the Half Ironman triathlon that is a qualifying event
for the Ironman triathlon in Hawaii. Northside Valley is an ideal location
from which to train for this event. Running, biking, and swimming are easily
available via our proximity to the public coastal road. |
